between trips because although you sponge and dry the cockpit out and
then cover her up Sunday evening the tanks are still wet, which can be the
start of electrolisis in grp or rot on ply wood and being on the inside cannot

Auto Release Clamcleat CL257
CL257 Auto-Release Racing Mini cleat which provides a neat solution
to the problem of how to lock-down a rudder yet allow it to flip-up if it
hits the bottom or a solid obstacle in the water. The cleat holds ropes
from 4mm to 6mm securely yet will release them immediately when the
cleat is overloaded. The CL257 is fitted with an adjustable cam so that
the release tension can be set to suit the boat and local conditions. The
cam is adjusted until the rudder blade is held down reliably under maximum
sailing conditions. The CL257 will then be set so that the least strain is put

Quick Release trapeze Spreader Bar

Thanks to its lever, the spreader bar can be easily released without any effort
and can be operated by a sailor of any age or skill level (i.e. novice, youth).
The Wichard spreader bar has been specifically designed, so that it can be easily
and single-handedly operated in any kind of conditions.
In the closed position, the lever enables an easy release, even under tension.
In the open position, the hook can be easily re-engaged and remains attached to the
spreader bar. The sailor cannot loose the hook accidentally, when released, and no
